Psalm 119 v 11 - Thy word have I hid in mine heart that I might not sin against thee.

Is God’s word in your heart? If it is, you will have less of an appetite for sin, however if it isn’t, your desire will be to satisfy your carnal cravings. 

Someone wrote the following on the subject of sin.

Sin takes you farther than you planned to go.

Keeps you longer than you planned to stay.

Costs you more than you planned to pay.

Hiding His word in our hearts requires a purposeful approach on our part to read, study and meditate on it. His Word is the treasure and our hearts the treasure chest that keeps this precious gift.
